Putting Our Wedding Where Our Mouth Is

Thank You

The Clearwater Events Directors got married last month (hurrah!), and it will come of no surprise that a Clearwater Wedding was of course held in our great city of Birmingham!

The day (dare I call it ‘an event’?) was fantastic (with two event managers at the helm, we were in good hands) and we would both very much like to thank everyone in the events industry and our clients who wished us well and for the very kind cards and gifts.

We would also like to say thank you, and give a little plug to the wonderful local suppliers and businesses that made this event extra special for us. First off, Birmingham Council House – it is no secret that this venue is perfectly located in the heart of the city and has amazing event space, but in getting to know the team thoroughly over the past few months, we have been impressed by their talent and commitment to hosting and delivering excellent events. Whether you do it through us or by other means, take some business to them – you will not regret it.

Central Bus Hire who hire out vintage Routemaster buses and coaches added a quirky twist for our Transfers, and delivered perfect customer service throughout. While not strictly a Brummie method of transport, the team did a great job in giving those guests not familiar with the city a little tour of key landmarks, from the traditional buildings surrounding Colmore Row, to the award winning Mailbox, and Library of Birmingham.

Our photographer Mark Wright, founder on Increate Images, is an up and coming chap currently studying at Birmingham City University, an institute Clearwater Events has supported since 2011.   We are happy to continue to work with and recommend him as a local and creative photographer.

Our experience having our wedding rings made bespoke in The Jewellery Quarter reminded us of how lucky we are to live and work in a city with such an industry.  It’s a nice feeling to know the same people who have made jewellery for The Queen and Princess Di, made our bands. And that’s not even bragging – its just common place in The Jewellery Quarter, and so if you have not been, pay the area a visit – even better, bring a group for great jewellery making activities!

A massive thank you goes to the wonderful The Blue Piano Restaurant and Guesthouse. This independent business is excellently run and delivers great service, great food (mouthwatering savoury carrot cake for a starter – need I say more?), and great hospitality. The venue offers a wide range of event solutions, from private dinners and drinks receptions, to small daytime meeting space. The 5 bedroom Guesthouse has been decorated to an impressive standard – and offers a great alternative to the nearby chain hotels if you are in the city for a night or two. Be prepared for them to feature (where appropriate, of course) in our proposals for many years to come!

Finally, thank you Birmingham – you did us proud!
