Birmingham is an incredibly dynamic city, which has been transformed dramatically over the last 10 years. Once known for its dreary 60’s architecture and soulless city centre, the city has been reinvented into a thriving centre with fantastic shopping, incredible bars, Michelin starred restaurants and an unrivalled infrastructure to please even the most demanding Event Manager!
The city is a melting point for creativity and ideas and you feel its energy the moment you arrive! Perfectly positioned, almost the entire country can be reached within 4 hours and its airport and rail network offer incredible access and with short transfer times to the city, getting to Birmingham is a breeze!
As Britain’s second largest city, Birmingham is often over-looked. Many only think of it in terms of the N.E.C. and it’s famous Balti curries, but in reality, Birmingham has more canals than Venice and boasts as many cafes and restaurants as London. In turn, the city has its own symphony orchestra, ballet and is home to one of the largest fine collections of Pre-Raphaelite art in the UK.
Birmingham has a fabulous selection of hotels all within the 4 star market. With so many new hotels on the scene, quality and value is excellent. Pretty much all hotels have undergone refurbishment’s designed with the event planner in mind and offer great quality and superb value. The city really has become the place where people meet and with new hotels on the horizon, coupled with the NEC and ICC, there is an incredible selection of meeting and hotel space, ideal for pretty much any type of event.
We are trying hard to change perception of Birmingham because the city has changed so much and consequently there is so much to offer and do. From fabulous shopping to a rich art and entertainment scene, the city can offer a great social programme as well as a fabulous event at a price which is much more acceptable than the south east. We also have great attractions such as Cadbury World, Sea Life Centre and the Black Country Living Museum all of which can be hired for any type of event requirement.
More diversely, why not offer delegates Indian cooking lessons – after all, Birmingham is home to the famous Balti Curry. Alternatively, cocktail lessons on the top of Birmingham’s skyscraper can be arranged or perhaps a rock n’ roll tour following in the footsteps of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and the Moody Blues and the Move all originating from the Birmingham area.
